Since December 2019, the world has been facing the outbreak of COVID 19 which was reported to be a pandemic by World Health Organization. The pandemic is not only affecting public health security, it has also caused economic shutdown. As one of ECOWAS private sector organizations serving as a platform for regional public private dialogue with headquarters at ECOWAS COMMISSION and privileged access to ECOWAS Heads of State and Government summit as observer to present private sector position on deepening regional economic integration, the Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FEWACCI) had called private sector actors in the region for a 2-day online meeting with view of drafting private sector position paper on common actions against Covid-19 to be presented to ECOWAS Commission and its relevant Authority ...more
